PLEASE NOTE: CLOSING TIMES AT THE SOUTH AFRICAN HIGH COMMISSION OVER THE CHRISTMAS RECESS

The South African High Commission and the Home Affairs Section at 15 Whitehall will be closed from Monday 24th December 2018 until Tuesday 1st January 2019. The South African High Commission will resume normal duties at 08h30 on Wednesday 2nd January 2019 and the Home Affairs Section at 15 Whitehall will resume normal duties at 08h45 on Wednesday 2nd January 2019.

Office of Department of Home Affairs dealing with South African passport holders is open from 08h45 to 12h45 Monday to Friday except on public holidays. Collections will be from 08h45 - 12h45. 

Please note: it is not necessary to make an appointment; this is a walk-in service. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

We cannot inform the public of each stage of their passport because we are not linked to the systems in SA. 

All passports are processed in South Africa. This affects turnaround times. 

Please do not contact us until the turnaround time has passed. 

We will notify you via email once your passport is ready for collection
